Find Your Answers

I know you might have some questions before we work together, and that's totally okay! Below, I've answered some of the most common questions I get about mixing and mastering, so you can feel informed and confident in your decision. From file prep to turnaround times, this FAQ section should cover most of the basics. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to reach out!

What are your rates for mixing?
Mixes start at € 200 per song — final pricing depends on how many tracks your session includes and the overall scope of the project. Once I've had a chance to look at your files and discuss the details, I'll send over a clear offer so we're on the same page.
How do I prepare my files for mixing?
Preparing Tracks: Clean up anything you don't want in the mix (clicks, pops, background noise) and remove any processing that was only part of a rough mix—unless it's essential to the sound. Clearly label your files (e.g., "LeadVox," "Kick," "Harmony L") and make sure all tracks start at the same point so they line up correctly. Also, double-check that nothing is clipping.
If you have a processed vocal (with reverb, delay, etc.), feel free to include it alongside the dry version—this can help me get a better sense of your vision.
Minor edits are included, but major tasks like vocal tuning, time-aligning, or cleaning tracks should be done before sending your files.

File Format: Please send individual audio tracks as 24-bit WAV or AIFF files at the sample rate you recorded in.

Reference Tracks: Please provide 2–3 songs that reflect the kind of sound, vibe, or energy you're aiming for. Ideally, these should be somewhat similar in style and instrumentation to your own track. References help me better understand your taste and where you want your mix to land — whether it's about punch, space, warmth, or overall vibe. WAV files are preferred, but Spotify links are also acceptable. Please also include a rough mix/production mix of your track.

Additional Information: Please include details such as the tempo and key of your song in the file name or in a separate text file. If you have any additional notes or instructions, please provide them in a text file as well.
Can I get revisions on my mixed track?
Absolutely! Each mix includes up to 3 rounds of revisions at no extra cost. Additional revisions beyond that are charged separately.
Can I send a rough mix?
Yes, absolutely — please do! Your rough mix helps me understand your vision, vibe, and what's important to you. It's not about how "good" it sounds, but what it communicates.
How long will it take to finish my mix?
Typical turnaround is around 5–7 days per song, depending on complexity and my current schedule. If you're working with a deadline, just let me know and I'll do my best to make it work.

Need it faster? Express mixing is available (depending on my current schedule) for an additional fee — just reach out and ask!
Which genres do you specialize in?
I focus mostly on indie pop, singer-songwriter and more acoustic productions — but I'm open to a lot of styles and genres. If the song resonates with me, I'm happy to mix it, so feel free to reach out.
Is editing included in a mix with you?
Editing tasks like vocal tuning, time-aligning, cleaning up tracks etc. are typically part of the production process, so they're not included in the mix by default. I'm happy to take care of minor fixes, but major edits should be handled before sending your files.

If you do need help with editing, just let me know — I'm happy to offer editing for an additional fee.
What's the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is where all the individual tracks come together — balancing levels, EQ, dynamics, space, and effects to shape your vision of the song. Mastering happens after mixing and gives the final polish, making sure your track sounds consistent across all playback systems.
