Hi, I'm Mario, a mixing and mastering engineer based in Vienna. I work mostly with indie pop, bedroom pop, and alt pop — songs that are personal and vocal-driven. I write a little myself, which mostly means I think about a track the way you do: what you love about it, what you're worried about losing, what you'd never compromise on. That's where every decision starts.

When you send me a song, you're not handing it off. We're finishing it together. Before I touch anything, I want to understand what you're going for — references, mood, what you're proud of, the parts that aren't sitting right yet. Your vision anchors every move.

Transparency is a big part of how I work. If I think something isn't serving the song, I'll say so — honestly, but without pressure. Not to override you, just to do my job properly. Most of the time we land in the same place anyway. And knowing what not to touch is one of the most important things I've learned.

I try to keep the whole thing easy. Clear communication, no preciousness about gear or method. The music is what matters.
